Teachers’ Achievements

 MRS M.A..S Rupasinghewas selected to fallow  a course on ICT Application in school & in the Community from August 3 to 14 ,2009 at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. She was a  one of the 3 teachers who was selected for this course.



STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENTS

K.P Kushani Maheshika Perera of our school has obtained the First place under Commerce Stream Grade 12-13  category in Student’s Competition Conducted jointly by Education  for Knowledge Society Project (E.K.S.P) of MinH.D.Irushani Anuradha Dharmasiriwardane from our scholl got the 1st place in the all island  Art competition conducted by the International Monalisa Organisation Sri Lanka

Our partnership had already been formed following the Asian tsunami, through the work of the UK charity Helplanka in 2005.
Aims of our Partnership........

  • Engender respect for each other’s values, beliefs and cultural attitudes
  • Develop our pupils’ awareness of global issues and make them sensitive to these
  • Develop our ability to exchange, reflect on and respond to each other’s work
  • Extend our awareness of how the Global Dimension can be embedded in the curriculum and ethos of our schools


 

About St.Anthony's Girls' School


St.Anthony's Girls' School of Panadura was inaugarated after separating from the St. Anthony's Mixed School.    
       
This school was inaugarated on the 1st day of December 1951. Founder was Rev. Alex  Ranasinha. It was an assisted school at first and when the government took over the assisted  schools it become Government schools under the provisions of taking over of assisted school Act. Subsequently this school was known as Panadura St. Anthony's Girls' school. The school which began for female student with the 6th grade and had risen up to G.C.E. Ordinary   Level Exam
